In this brief tutorial, we will see how to easily download and install the latest currently available version of Google Chrome under Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) and Linux Mint 18 "Sarah", 64-bit platforms.

Google Chrome Installation

Open the Terminal and issue these commands to install Google Chrome with all its dependencies:

wget https://goo.gl/emddZ0 -O chrome64.deb 
sudo dpkg -i --force-depends chrome64.deb

After completing the installation, use Unity launcher to start Google Chrome.
