Installing these tools is now easier thanks to the Ubuntu Make command line tool, which will download and install latest version of developer tools on your system along with their dependencies.

To add the Ubuntu Make repository , run these commands:

sudo add-apt-repository -y ppa:ubuntu-desktop/ubuntu-make 
sudo apt-get update 
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-make

For Ubuntu 15.04, you don't need to add the above repository as it is included by default in the official repository, just run the third command.

To install  Visual Studio Code on Ubuntu or Linux Mint, run this command:

umake web visual-studio-code

2. Android Studio


To install Android Studio on Ubuntu/Linux Mint, run this command:

umake android

You can easily remove install developer tools by running this command:

umake package_name --remove

Example: to uninstall Visual Studio Code, run this command:

umake web visual-studio-code --remove
