The second maintenance release for the kernel 4.0 series has been released more updates and bug fixes.To upgrade your current kernel to  Linux Kernel 4.0.2, you may use our bash script for easier installation.

  Linux Kernel 4.0.2 Installation

To install Linux kernel 4.0.2 under Ubuntu or Linux Mint, run these commands:

cd /tmp 
wget https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/47950494/upubuntu/kernel-4.0.2 
chmod +x kernel-4.0.2 
sudo sh kernel-4.0.2 
sudo reboot

Linux Kernel 4.0.2 Removal (Optional)

To uninstall kernel 4.0.2 and revert back to old kernel, write these:

sudo apt-get purge linux.image-4.0.2-* 
sudo update-grub
