Advanced Photo is a simple application that allows Ubuntu/Linux Mint users to easily view, rotate, flip and resize their pictures. The application is written in the C++ language and supports the drag and drop feature to quickly add your photos.

In this tutorial we will see how to install Advanced Photo under the following distros:
  • Ubuntu 14.10/14.04 or older
  • Linux Mint 17.1/17 or older
Advanced Photo Installation

For 64-bit systems, run these commands:

cd /tmp 
wget http://goo.gl/ZfVIL3 -O Adv_Photo_1.3.0_x64.deb 
sudo dpkg -i --force-depends Adv_Photo_1.3.0_x64.deb 
sudo apt-get -f install

For 32-bit systems, issue these commands:

cd /tmp 
wget http://goo.gl/WRzf0x -O Adv_Photo_1.3.0_x86.deb 
sudo dpkg -i --force-depends Adv_Photo_1.3.0_x86.deb 
sudo apt-get -f install

You can then open it via Dash:
