Rexloader is a download manager written in Qt/C++ that makes it easy downloading your http files under Ubuntu/Linux Mint with support of proxy. The developer of this application has promised to add support for  ftp and P2P in the next versions.

Rexloader is a cross-platform download manager, but here we are going to see how to install it under Ubuntu/Linux Mint distros.

Ubuntu 14.10/Linux Mint 17.1

Since the developer hasn't yet updated his PPA for Ubuntu 14.10 (Utopic Unicorn), we are going to install the application manually via deb packages. So, under 64-bit systems, enter these commands:

cd /tmp
wget http://goo.gl/AJRExN -O rexloader_0.1a_amd64.deb
sudo dpkg -i --force-depends rexloader_0.1a_amd64.deb
sudo apt-get -f install

For 32-bit systems, run these commands:

cd /tmp
wget http://goo.gl/OKAJW8 -O rexloader_0.1a_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i --force-depends rexloader_0.1a_i386.deb
sudo apt-get -f install

For Ubuntu 14.04 or older, you can install Rexloader via this PPA:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ra9oaj/spolab
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install rexloader
