Another update for Linux Kernel 3.9 series has been released for Linux users. Linux Kernel 3.9.7 brings more updates and improvements, here are some of them taken from the changelog:

Linux Kernel 3.9.7 Installation

To install Kernel 3.9.7 in Ubuntu/Linux Mint, run these commands at your own risk:

cd /tmp 
wget -O kernel-3.9.7 
chmod +x kernel-3.9.7 
sudo sh kernel-3.9.7 
sudo reboot

To remove kernel 3.9.7 from Ubuntu/Linux Mint, enter this command:

     sudo apt-get purge linux-image-3.9.7*
