Makagiga is a portable application written in Java that allows in a single window to do various tasks including to-do listing and text editing with support of plugins that will help you add more features to the application such as image viewing, rss reading, etc. The application also supports widgets (sticky notes, calendar, etc.).

Makagiga has been updated recently to version 4.6 which brings these new changes and features:

  • An improved task list in the system tray context menu
  • Better security manager
  • Fixed image exportation
  • Notepad plugin allows now to display the # of words and sentences
  • Various bugfixes

Makagiga 4.6 Installation

To install Makagiga 4.6 in Ubuntu 13.04/12.10/12.04 and Linux Mint 14/13/12 or older, open the terminal and enter these commands:

sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk    (optional if Java is already installed) 
cd /tmp 
wget -O makagiga_4.6-1_all.deb 
sudo dpkg -i makagiga_4.6-1_all.deb

Makagiga Removal

In case you want to uninstall Makagiga from your system, open the terminal and run this command:

sudo apt-get purge makagiga
