Linux Kernel 3.7.8 Installation

To install Linux Kernel 3.7.8 in Ubuntu 12.10/12.04 and Linux Mint 14/13 or older, enter these commands in the terminal:

cd /tmp 
wget -O kernel-3.7.8 
chmod +x kernel-3.7.8 
sudo sh kernel-3.7.8 
sudo reboot

If you face troubles while upgrading to this kernel (Nvidia), try to fix your system as follows:

- Press CTRL+ALT+F2 and run this sequence of commands:

cd /usr/src/linux-headers-3.7.8-030708/arch/x86/include 
sudo cp -v generated/asm/unistd* ./asm 
sudo apt-get install --reinstall nvidia-current
