OcenAudio is a free and fast audio editor having an easy to use user interface comprising a lot of features that will satisfy both beginner and advanced users. This audio editor is based on the powerful Ocean Framework library used in simplifying the development of audio manipulation on various platforms.

In the home page of this project (still in beta), you can download Ocenaudio for different operating systems like Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. But in this page we will see the installation of Ocenaudio in Linux-based systems. In Ubuntu/Linux Mint, we will see the installation of Ocenaudio via a PPA. For Fedora and openSUSE, see the manual installation below.



Ocenaudio Installation

Ubuntu/Linux Mint

Under Ubuntu 12.04 or Linux Mint 13 (Maya), you can install OcenAudio with the following commands (32-bit):

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/multimedia
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install  ocenaudio-i386

For 64-bit systems, install with these commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/multimedia
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install  ocenaudio-amd64

Fedora 17

To install OcenAudio on Fedora 17 or older, run the following commands for 32-bit systems:

wget -O ocenaudio32.rpm http://goo.gl/ektE7


sudo yum install ocenaudio32.rpm

For 64-bit systems:

wget -O ocenaudio64.rpm http://goo.gl/FGnf3


sudo yum install ocenaudio64.rpm

openSUSE 12.1
