How To Install The Nvidia Linux Display Driver 295.53 Via PPA On Ubuntu 12.04/11.10
Another driver update from Nvidia has been released recently. The Nvidia Linux display driver has been updated to version 295.53 and comes with more new features and updates. This latest driver has added support for the following GPUs:- GeForce GTX 670
- GeForce 605
- GeForce GT 610
- GeForce GT 630
- GeForce GT 640
- GeForce GT 645
- A bug in G-Sync configurations fixed
- More bug fixes, etc.
Driver Installation
Open the terminal and issue these commands to upgrade/install the Nvidia driver under Ubuntu 12.04/11.10:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/nvidia
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current
Then restart your computer to finish the installation. You can verify your current Nvidia driver version by opening Nvidia X Server Settings from the Unity Dash.
