After the release of the stable version of Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin, Canonical developers have started the development of the next release - Ubuntu 12.10 with code name 'Quantal Quetzal'. Users are now offered the possibility to download the Ubuntu 12.10 daily build from the Ubuntu server. This unstable release is still in its early stages of developments and you will surely encounter some bugs while running it. So use it only to test new changes, what have been kept or removed, etc.

As you know, the stable version of Ubuntu 12.10 (Quantal Quetzal) will be released in next October, which will surely include many new features and improvements, especially with the news spread in the web about the removal of Unity 2D. As a reminder, here is the release schedule for Ubuntu 12.10:
