Stencyl is a smart application that allows Linux users to create mobile and web (Flash) games without bothering hiring high-paid programmers or learning complicated coding. The process is very simple, you drag and drop game items in the application's interface, physics and native APIs will be generated automatically to let you only focus on what is important.
With Stencyl, you can create iOS and Flash games that can be published to the App Store, desktop, Chrome Web Store, and the web. Coming with many ready-to-use blocks, Stencyl also allows to import libraries and insert your own iOS commands.

In this tutorial we will help you install Stencyl 2.1.0 under Ubuntu 12.04/11.10 via PPA. For older versions of Ubuntu, you can download Stencyl manually and run the executable file to start the application.
Open the terminal and install Stencyl with these commands for Ubuntu 12.04/11.10:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/games
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install stencyl
You can now start it via the Unity dash:
