Nokuntu is a program  for managing Nokia phones. It is similar to Windows Nokia PC Suite, but works on Ubuntu and supports the Gnome desktop environment. It has a simple and easy to use GUI that combines many functions like managing media files, synchronization, send sms, send files via Nautilus, share your PC internet connection via Bluethooth on your phone, check battery status of your phone, auto detection of USB/Bluetooth connections, etc.

To install Nokuntu (0.5.1) under Ubuntu 11.10/12.04 via PPA, run the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:upubuntu-com/mobile

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install obextool nokuntusp

Start the application from the dash:

For other versions, you can install from the provided .deb packages here.

Note: Nokuntu doesn't support latest Nokia phones, maybe in next updates of the software.

That's it!
