In this quick tip we will help you clean up your home folder by removing unnecessary Flash cookies from your computer under Ubuntu (12.04/11.10 or older). Flash cookies are stored in  files having the *.sol extension and reside in the ~/.macromedia hidden folder. You can delete manually these files by accessing the Flash cookies folder with this command:

nautilus ~/.macromedia

Or use the terminal to get rid of Flash cookies as follows:

1. You can list all flash cookies with this command:

find .macromedia/ -name "*.sol"

2. To clear all Flash cookies, run now this command:

find .macromedia/ -name "*.sol" | xargs rm

That's it!
