In this tip we will see how to use the command line to mix a video with audio using ffmpeg. If you haven't already installed ffmpeg under Ubuntu, then start the terminal and run the following command:

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg

To mix audio and video files, run this command:

ffmpeg -i sound.wav -i input.avi output.mpg

  • sound.wav --> the audio file
  • input.avi --> your original video
  • output.mpg --> the video that will be generated
That's it!
