Have you ever wondered about the meaning of slang terms, abbreviations and acronyms used in forums, blogs, chat rooms, websites, SMS, etc. There are some of these terms that are easily understood, whereas others are not. If you want to know the meaning of these internet slang words under Ubuntu, you can do this with the help of the WTF command line utility.

To install WTF under Ubuntu, open the terminal and run this command:

sudo apt-get install bsdgames

Here are some examples for the use of WTF:

- To get the meaning of  the "LOL" term, run this command:

wtf lol

~$ wtf lol
LOL: laughing out loud

- ROFL:

wtf ROFL

~$ wtf ROFL
ROFL: rolling on floor laughing

- OMG:

wtf OMG

~$ wtf OMG
OMG: oh, my god

Note: You can get the meaning of more than one web slang word by separating them by spaces.
