Ubuntu Tweak is a popular application favored by many users of Ubuntu which allows them to configure their system and desktop. A new version for Ubuntu Tweak has been released lately (Ubuntu Tweak 0.6.2) that doesn't differ so much from the previous release, but it adds more bug fixes to ensure the stability of the application and also there are a number of tools are added for better support with Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin.

Ubuntu Tweak 0.6.2 Installation

This PPA is available for both Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin) and Ubuntu 11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot):

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tualatrix/ppa

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak

For other Ubuntu versions (11.04/10.10  or older), you can install Ubuntu Tweak 0.6.2 with these commands:

sudo apt-get install python-compizconfig gir1.2-unique-3.0

cd /tmp && wget -O ubuntu-tweak_0.6.2_all.deb http://goo.gl/b8qtt

sudo dpkg -i ubuntu-tweak*.deb
