AppleArt is an amazing set of Apple icons that you can use on Gnome-based desktop environments. In this tutorial we will help you install and enable AppleArt under Ubuntu 11.10/12.04 or older. Here are the icons used by this icon theme:


AppleArt Installation

Open the terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and run this sequence of commands:

wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47950494/AppleArt.tar.gz


mkdir ~/.icons


tar -xzvf AppleArt.tar.gz -C ~/.icons


gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme 'AppleArt'
