We have previously seen an article on software for Ubuntu called CPU-G having the same function of the famous CPU-Z which is used to gather information about main system components (devices) such as CPU, motherboard, memory, video & sound cards, etc. Today we will see another software called i-Nex that comes with a GUI and allows via a tabbed interface to view information about your system hardware, here is a screenshot of it under Ubuntu 11.10:

To install i-Nex under Ubuntu 11.10/11.04, open the terminal and run the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:i-nex-development-team/daily
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nemh/gambas3
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install i-nex

For Debian-based systems, you can try to install this application using these commands:

wget -O i-nex_0.3.3.deb http://goo.gl/RNhnR
sudo dpkg -i i-nex_0.3.3.deb

That's it!
