GruBoot is simply a GTK application based on the GRUB2 boot loader that allows users to boot other installed operating systems in your hard drive directly from your desktop, without going through the Grub boot loader.

To install this application under Ubuntu 11.04, open the terminal and run the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:iaz/gruboot
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gruboot

For Ubuntu 11.10, you can install from the Debian package with these commands:

wget -O gruboot_0.1.1_all.deb http://goo.gl/iQtHx
sudo dpkg -i gruboot_0.1.1_all.deb

Use then the Unity Dash to launch GruBoot:

That's it!
