Classic Menu Indicator allows users to show up a menu similar to that of Gnome2 under Ubuntu 11.10 with Unity. A new version of this indicator has been released that corrects a bug in displaying icons and more configuring options are added to this new release.
To install Classic Menu Indicator on Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot, run these commands from the terminal:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:diesch/testing
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install classicmenu-indicator
Start it now with this command:
It will show up at the top panel (system tray). If you can't start it, just log out the current session and log back in.
