
To make this possible we will use the script from this link. To install it on Ubuntu, you need to follow these instructions:
Open the terminal and run these commands to install this script:
wget http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47950494/Shred%20File
mv "Shred File" ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts
chmod +x ~/.gnome2/nautilus-scripts/"Shred File"
To shred a file, right-click it and select Scripts > Shred File, then confirm by clicking YES:
The file will now be deleted permanently.
