Nautilus-Actions is a nautilus configuration tool that allows users to add various actions to your file manager context menu (right-click menu). If you have installed Nautilus-Actions under Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot via PPA, you will notice that it's not running and if started from the terminal, you will get this error:

  Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

To be able to run Nautilus-Actions on Ubuntu 11.10, you need to install from source as described below until the PPA for Oneiric is resolved.

Nautilus-Actions (3.1.5) Installation

Install first some dependencies with these commands:

sudo apt-get isntall libunique-3.0-dev intltool

sudo apt-get build-dep nautilus-actions

Then run this sequence of commands to compile and install Nautilus Actions:

wget -O nautilus-actions-3.1.5.tar.gz http://goo.gl/qitnX

tar zxvf nautilus-actions-3.1.5.tar.gz

cd nautilus-actions-3.1.5

./configure --with-gtk=3

make

sudo make install

You can then start Nautilus-Actions from the Unity Dash or via the terminal with this command:

nautilus-actions-config-tool

That's it!
