subLIME is a GTK3 Gnome Shell theme that you can install on both LinuxMint 12 and Ubuntu 11.10. The theme is a mixture of green and black colors and is based on the Mint-Z theme that is included in LinuxMint.

In this guide we will see how to install it on Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot with Gnome Shell interface enabled.

subLIME Installation

Open the terminal and run this sequence of commands:

cd /tmp
mkdir ~/.themes/sublime
wget -O sublime.zip http://goo.gl/WnO6Q
unzip sublime.zip -d ~/.themes/sublime

To enable the theme along with its window theme, run these two commands:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-theme 'sublime'
gconftool-2 --set --type string /apps/metacity/general/theme 'sublime'

Gnome tweak tool can also be used to enable this theme. Then press ALT+F2, type r and press Enter to restart Gnome Shell.
