In this guide we will see how to install and enable the Floristic spring icon theme on Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot. The icon theme is a mixture of flowers that appear in summer including sunflowers, shasta daisy, bellflowers, etc. Fans of nature will surely appreciate this icon theme.

Floristic Installation

Under Ubuntu 11.10, open the terminal and install this icon theme with these commands:

cd /tmp
wget -O floristic.zip http://goo.gl/HDKPk
unzip floristic.zip
tar jxvf Floristic.tar.bz2 -C ~/.icons

If the ".icons" folder is not already created, you can do with this command:

mkdir ~/.icons

Use the Gnome Tweak Tool to enable Floristic, or run simply this command via the terminal:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface icon-theme 'Floristic'
