
Getting Started
Open the terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and run this command to install Dropbox on Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric Ocelot:
sudo apt-get install nautilus-dropbox
For Ubuntu 11.04, you need to install Dropbox with these commands:
wget https://www.dropbox.com/download?dl=packages/nautilus-dropbox_0.6.9_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i *nautilus-dropbox*.deb
Then open the dash and start the installtion of Dropbox (Ubuntu 11.04):
If the update window appears, click Start Dropbox:
In this window, select "I already have a Dropbox account" and click Next:
Submit your Dropbox access details (email & password) and click Next:
If you receive these upgrade options, select "2G Free" and click Next:
Leave the "Typical" option selected and click Install:
Click now the "Skip Tour" button:
Click Finish:
The Dropbox icon will now appear in the system tray. A folder called "Dropbox" will be created in your home folder. You have to place all your files in this folder to sync them with your online account.
