In this tutorial, we will see how to make the Ubuntu 11.04 upper panel transparent. This will make your desktop look impressive.

Get Started

1. Launch first the Terminal and install Compiz setting Manager with this command:

 sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager

2. Press now ALT+F2 and run this command:


3. Open the Experimental tab and adjust panel opacity to get a transparent panel:
