FileZilla is a free cross-platform FTP client that allows users to easily download/upload files from and to servers. The latest version of FileZilla (3.5.0) for Linux is released and can be installed on Ubuntu using the instructions given below.

FileZilla 3.5.0 Installation

To install FileZilla 3.5.0 on Ubuntu 11.10/11.04/10.10, run these commands from the Terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/programs-ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install filezilla

You can then start it using the dash:

Or open the Internet category to start it on Ubuntu 10.10. Here is a screenshot of FileZilla main user interface:
