Grub Customizer is an application that allows Ubuntu users to configure grub2/burg settings via a very easy to use GUI. Grub Customizer allows to change the following:

  • Default Entry
  • Timeouts
  • Menu Visibility And Colors
  • Screen Resolution
  • Background Image, etc.

You can also use Grub Customizer to repair grub2/burg by using a Live CD. For more information about Grub Customizer, check this link.

To install Grub Customizer on Ubuntu 11.04/10.10/10.04, run these commands via the Terminal:

 sudo add-apt-repository ppa:danielrichter2007/grub-customizer
 sudo apt-get update
 sudo apt-get install grub-customizer

To start it, search for "grub customizer" using the dash:

The application runs only with root privileges.
