Game Editor is a cross-platform program for creating games. It allows to easily create 2D games for mobile phones and computers. With Game Editor, you can create and export games to be run on the following devices and operating systems:
- iPhone, iPad, and Mac OS X
- Windows, Pocket PC, Windows Mobile-based devices
Game Editor Installation
To install Game Editor on Ubuntu 11.10/11.04/10.10/10.04, launch the Terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and install first this command line tool:
sudo apt-get install subversion
Run now now this command to download Game Editor to your Home folder:
svn co https://game-editor.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/game-editor/trunk "Game Editor"
After downloading Game Editor, you need to access the Game Editor/bin folder and right-click the gameEditorLinux file and select Properties:
Open the Permissions tab, check on "Allow executing file as program", then click Close.
Or simply CHMOD the file from the Terminal using this command:
chmod +x gameEditor ./gameEditorLinux
