Mounty is a small indicator applet that allows via the Ubuntu upper panel to easily mount/unmount disk images. Here are some supported disk image formats:

  • iso
  • bin
  • img
  • nrg
  • mdf, etc.

Mounty can also be used to burn mounted CD/DVD images. To install Mounty on Ubuntu 11.04, launch the Terminal and issue these commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tldm217/tahutek.net
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mounty

Start then the applet via the dash:



Once launched, Mounty's icon will be displayed in the notification area, click it to see proposed actions.
