If you have encountered boot problems after installing Ubuntu on your system, you can try the Boot Repair tool, which will help you fix Ubuntu boot issues. Boot Repair allows the following:
- Reinstallation of the bootloader (GRUB)
- Restore bootsector (MBR) backup, if available
Also Boot Repair will help you fix boot issues of other operating systems managed by the GRUB loader. Boot Repair can be used directly from the Ubuntu desktop, live-USB, or live-CD.
