cGmail is an applet for Ubuntu that allows to check and notify you about new incoming emails. Written in Python, cGmail supports imap, pop3, and Gmail. cGmail supports also the SSL connection for both pop3 and imap protocols.
To install cGmail on Ubuntu 11.04/10.10/10.04, run this command via the Terminal:
sudo apt-get install cgmail
After launching cGmail, click New:
Provide now your mail details (username, password, etc), then click OK.
