Steadyflow is a simple and clean download manager that can be used via the terminal, D-Bus, or graphical user interface (GUI).
The new version (0.1.7) includes some improvements which are:
- Password authentication support for SFTP, FTP, etc.
- Start/Stop/Resume one or more files at once.
- Delete one or more files, etc.
To install Steadyflow on Ubuntu 11.04 or later distro, launch the terminal and issue these commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sikon/steadyflow
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install steadyflow
After launching Steadyflow, its icon will stick to the upper panel, click it and select 'Show download manager' to see the list of files being downloaded. Or click 'Add download' to download a specific file with Steadyflow.
