Peyote is an audio player that supports the following formats:

Supporting multiple playlists, Peyote comes with a MC-like interface that is easy to use and fast. In this guide, we will see how to install Peyote on Ubuntu 10.04/10.10.

Peyote Installation

To be able to install Peyote, you need first to install some dependencies. Launch the terminal, and issue these commands:

sudo apt-get install python-gtk2 python-mutagen python-gst0.10 gstreamer0.10-plugins-base gstreamer0.10-plugins-good

Download now and install the deb package from here.

To launch Peyote, open Applications >> Sound & Video >> Peyote, or start it via the terminal with this command:
